So, new blog, newish look, and new profile pic. This is the time of year where I like to change things up.
It’s taken a long time to get my avatar to what I really like the look of. Mostly because I have lots of other things in the queue ahead of personal appearance; also because I like spending my rare Ls on building stuff and texture uploads lately. But, I got a bit nostalgic for the old days, so I hope you’ll excuse what is probably a moment of narcissism as I put up a timeline of avatar pictures, from then (2008) to now (2013).
June 4, 2008: Mistletoe is rezzed.
The name is after that of the protagonist in a comic I drew for a while. In the story Mistletoe was originally a young woman in the modern-day world who gets sucked into an MMORPG world and turned into an elf. It seemed a most appropriate name.
June 6, 2008: The first ever Mistletoe picture.
I was 2 days in SL and got the hang of designing my own system clothes and hair. I really thought this was amazing.
June 29, 2008: Prim hair, prim ears, and skin.
All freebies. And that’s the first known picture of Archimedes as well.
August 2008: I’m making my own clothes, and stubbornly resisting primwear.
October, 2008: Look! Better prim hair!
This was prim hair scripted to be worn up or down, from Sirena. And look at me still stubbornly resisting any prim clothing of any type…
…until later the same month. All made by yours truly.

One thing that continued to bother me, however, was the fact that I had very little in the way of lips. Talking with my friend Tel about this is what inspired me to try my hand at bargain cosmetics.
