I hope my letter finds you well and in good health. I made it to El’Drin safely; the only problem I ran into was getting my luggage back after it was misplaced in the hold. It was located, an hour later. I had lunch on the docks of Mystopolis at a place called the Thirsty Mermaid, and there met Clover. She sends her love. She and I went back to her house outside of the city gates to be greeted by three very happy and sticky-faced nieces, who were enjoying toffee apples they had made earlier in the day. Well, of course, little Bluebell didn’t have the apples–not having enough teeth yet–but she got plenty of sticky from applesauce and such. So pardon any stickiness on the parchment.

I can’t get over how big Sunshine is getting! She’s 95 now, going on 200, haha. She told me all about school and the books she’s reading–regular chatterbox, just like Clo always was–and showed me her latest drawings and a story or two she’s written. Hazy (already in her 70s! Wow!) is more the introvert. You can always see the wheels turning in her head. Clo tells me she’s in an advanced Enchantments class in her school–I thought Uncle Arch should like to hear that. She asks about you a lot. I hope sometime soon we can both come out to El’Drin for a visit.

It’s beautiful here. The leaves are starting to turn dramatic shades of yellow, orange, and red. I guess this year’s Fall Festival was the biggest yet, with people coming from all over the world to visit. I stayed home with the girls last night while Clo and Falcon went out dancing at the Week After Fall Festival Dance. We had a grand time: playing hide and seek, reading stories, all that good stuff that aunties are for.

I’m going to spend one more night here, I believe, and come in on the late mailboat Wednesday evening. Sometime I’d love to have Sunny, and maybe Hazel too, over in Northfarthing for a visit. I think they’re big enough that they’d enjoy it here. Plus, as I say, Hazy misses you a lot. She sends big sticky kisses, and so do I!

Be well,
Love,
Mistletoe

The cemetery has been leveled. All gone. Buh-bye. There comes a time when you’ve got to listen to your gut. Mine says, I’m getting creeped out, no more cemetery.

It happened by pure luck that I found out about this show 15 minutes before it started. It was so friggin’ AWESOME! I had not been to a rock concert in SL before. It was amazing. I got in free, could see the band clearly, could take pictures, and even got free souvenirs!

So I was conversing with someone the other day and we got into making these funny innuendos about making clothing (myself being a tailor and all) and it got me to thinking that it really needs to be a bawdy song.

And since I’ve been booted from SL again, I figure I’ve got time to work on that idea.

edit 9/29: I’m inspired! Newest version follows…

Word reached me that a stranger has been seen in the village. I’m certain it’s the messenger from Spain, and that he’s looking for me. I don’t know what to say to him. I don’t think I’m ready to talk to him yet. Perhaps in time, but not today. I would like, when I do find the strength to talk to him, to be friends. I’m pretty sure of that. But he’s got pain of his own to sort through first, without the likes of me getting in the way. He lost a longtime friend after all, and when that happens nobody feels like it’s fair.

I’ll take a few days to myself, to clear my head. Maybe, after the weekend, I’ll be ready to talk.

And nothing clears the head quite like building. Fall has come, and with it days of cold rain, so I’ve got much repairs to do on my house before the snow follows on its heels. So I’m patching walls, fitting storm windows, all that lovely stuff. Once it becomes too dark or too wet outside to do home repairs, I sew.

When I don’t sew, I practice music; when I don’t do that, I dream.

Please stop fucking crashing. I have lost track of how many times I’ve crashed this afternoon. If you need to shut down, just stay shut down until whatever problem you’re having is fixed. Trying over and over to log in is far less frustrating than continually getting booted while I’m in the middle of building.

I’m probably the last person on the planet to discover this but just in case I’m not, enjoy the song and the laugh.

Aren’t we cute? :D

It’s Friday night, so that means Cat Agus Cu will be performing live at the Green Dragon Inn in Northfarthing, our hometown pub. We’ll play our usual fare of traditional Irish and Scottish tunes, drinking songs, and ballads, plus the occasional modern song tossed in for fun.

What you should know about the venue: Non-Gorean medieval sim. Medieval/fantasy dress is appreciated but not required; some kind of clothing is required. Assholish behavior will result in banination.

Cat Agus Cu will be performing live this afternoon at 1 PM at Gothly Hall, in Northfarthing. It will be part of a masked ball; masks are available at the door if you don’t have one already. The party starts at 12 noon, we go on at 1 and play until 2, then the party runs until 3.

What you should know about the venue: Non-Gorean medieval sim. Medieval clothes are appreciated but not required. The sim is Mature but that doesn’t mean you get run around naked. The Tip Kitty will be out.

Tweedily-Deedily-Deet

Help out if ya like.
